  • More accurate evaluation of candidate experience, including career progression, seniority, and employment gaps
  • Improved detection of mismatches between a candidate’s background and the role they applied for
  • More consistent and reliable evaluation outputs across candidates

We’ve improved the English proficiency score in AI Video Review to better reflect what employers usually look for: candidates who can communicate clearly on the job.
The score is now more aligned with practical workplace communication, putting more emphasis on clarity and articulation and less emphasis on minor grammar mistakes:
  • Strong
    — The candidate can communicate clearly on the job using job-specific vocabulary with proper grammar and sentence structure.
  • Neutral
    — The candidate can communicate clearly on the job using job-specific vocabulary.
  • Weak
    — The candidate may have difficulty communicating clearly on the job.
Getting started
The updated English proficiency score is now live and applies to all new AI Video Review ratings of One-Way Video Interview submissions.
We’ve introduced a refreshed One-Way Video Interview experience designed to make the process faster, clearer, and more engaging for candidates. The updated experience features a more intuitive flow, clearer guidance, and a polished, employer-branded design that helps candidates complete interviews with greater confidence and improve overall completion rates.
What’s new
  • Simplified interview flow
helps candidates move through the process more confidently and reduces drop-offs.
  • Refreshed, employer-branded design
creates a polished first impression and a more cohesive candidate experience.
  • Clearer guidance and fewer clicks
with the intro video first and the questionnaire on a single page.
  • Improved interview readiness
through clear expectations and mobile enhancements, including portrait recording.
  • Virtual backgrounds
to help candidates present themselves professionally from any location.
  • A redesigned landing page
    to further improve the experience.

When extending an offer, candidates may negotiate unique terms or require a tailored clause. This new feature lets recruiters handle these one-off changes by uploading a custom offer letter directly in the Offer step without adding another template to the library.
How it works
  • Owners or Admins enable the option in the account settings (it is disabled by default).
  • Recruiters create a custom offer, using dynamic attributes available on the Offer step.
  • They then upload the offer letter instead of choosing a template from the library.
  • Custom offers are not saved to the library.
